When I ran into a problem with a door springs being marked incorrectly by Home Depot I call Typer and scheduled a visit. I live in Nebraska. My Granddaughter lives in our condo in Ft. Collins. She texted and said the garage door would not open. I called Precision and a repairman was at the condo at 8"00 the next morning, After doing an inspection, called and told me of multiple problems and gave me a cost estimate. I told him to fix the problems since I could not get to Ft. Collins to check it out. I had to trust that he was truthful . It is hard not living close enough to supervise the work. It did not seem to take long to do all he told me needed replaced..but I guess I will never know. The Granddaughter says it is working now.

Imagine my horror when I went to back out of my garage the day after Thanksgiving and suddenly I heard a loud bang and felt the car lurch...I had backed into a partially closed garage door and done quite a bit of damage. I couldn't open or close the garage and so my car was stuck inside. The first garage door repair company I called didn't answer, and I panicked thinking I wasn't going to be able to get in touch with a repair service given the holiday weekend. Luckily, my next call was to Precision Garage Door. They answered immediately and sent someone out within a couple hours. I was so worried I would have to pay to replace the entire door, but the technician showed up and said he would do his best to repair it if at all possible. Thirty minutes later, he knocked on the door with great news - he had been able to repair the door, and the damage I had done was barely detectable. I am so grateful for Precision Garage Door's excellent customer service, availability, the professionalism of their phone operator and service technician, and for their fair pricing. Thank you for saving me from what would have been a nightmare of a day!

We had a broken spring the Sunday after Thanksgiving, and called Precision to see if they could replace the spring. Unfortunately, they were backed up after the holidays and couldn't get out that day, but they scheduled us for Tuesday morning from 10-12. Tyler called a little before 8 to let me know that they had an earlier opening. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get back to him until 8:40, and he had already started servicing another customer. He let me know that he would call when he wrapped up with the other customer. About 10:15, Tyler called back and let me know that they were on their way, and they were here by 10:30. We don't know how old our garage door is for certain, but it is likely more than 25 years old. Tyler did a thorough inspection of our garage door, and showed me what he found. He laid out the potential options for repair, and we agreed to a plan. He and his trainee Shawn were very efficient, and they ended up finishing about 11:40. They showed me the hardware that they had replaced and that the door was properly balanced without the opener. I was impressed. I asked Tyler about the general cost and timeline of replacing the garage door. Based on the professionalism and competence that Tyler and Shawn showed, I expect that we'll be looking to Precision to upgrade our garage door itself in the spring. Easy to make an appointment and techs showed up during the scheduled timeframe. Ended up replacing a 17-18 year old opener and installing some new rollers. Techs did a good job of detailing my options and install was done quickly with operation of new unit was well explained.

We had a recurring problem with our garage door opener. The response was always fast. They tried several things to fix the problem and the opener would work for a few weeks, and then the problem came back. They replaced most of the parts that could cause the problem and it still came back! This time the whole opener was replaced. Fingers crossed! Actually, I'm sure it's fixed now. Every time they came out, they were so nice and understanding. Their prices are very reasonable, from the cost of a service call to replacing the whole opener. Now we have a new one with a warranty. 1 star The experience left me feeling like I had been worked over by a slick , well trained salesman....which I had been. After his inspection, and telling me how old and unsafe my garage door opener was (even though it has worked without incident for 20 years), he presented "my three options" on his tablet. There was a $500, the $600, and the $770 option. having been convinced to do the right thing for my ancient opener, I went for option 3, plus two remotes and a keypad opener, pushing the cost to $895. As I drove away to let them do their work, it occurred to me that I had not been offered option 0.5 (or whatever) which would have been to fix what equipment I had (ancient though they kept telling me it was) and make it operational (which entailed reconnecting a dangling wire that I hadn't noticed). This was the service I really wanted, and so maybe when this ancient equipment failed, I wouldn't feel so bad spending $1,000 on a new opener. I admit to having poor sales resistance when made to feel guilty that I wanted to maintain such ancient equipment, so, you got me. I did initial approval for all of the work, but have regretted it every day since. I would like to think that I learned a hard lesson, and will never make such a mistake in the future. I certainly will NOT with Precision garage Door. My only remaining task is to scrape off all the Precision stickers that were left behind.

Tyler was Awesome! Garage door opener wasn't able to pull up the door anymore. Tyler came and assessed the problems, there were several. Came up with a plan to address all of our needs. And completed the job in an hour! Had bearings replaced (worn out), springs replaced ( rusted? old from last install. Not Precision), Side rollers replaced ( old open bearing type). Our garage door is quieter now then when it was installed!! Perfect!!

Tech seemed more interested in selling a new opener and parts than the reason they were there, just to provide me with a working remote controller. Asked them to lube opener, don't think this happened. Also think they may have loosened garage door, or added travel play in opener, possibly trying to create another service call.
