Service was friendly. Told us that cables were frayed and that they had to be replaced. When we asked how much that would be we were told “not much at all”. Cables ended up being $255, which is much more than “not much at all”. After we paid, I asked for the old cables. On inspection I found that the cables were not frayed at all. I’m tired of being taken advantage of by contractors.

Precision Garage Doors installed my metal door 7 years ago, and some of the parts were worn so I had them replaced. The spring would not hold the door open any more (no garage door opener) unless I balanced the door just right in the fully open position. And the rubber seal on the bottom of the door just deteriorated and was falling off in pieces. All to be expected after 7 years. Nick was my technician, and did an excellent job. Quick same-day appointment and was all finished in about an hour and a half. He was very professional and friendly and I would recommend Precision Garage Doors.

We needed a garage opening solution to qualify for a wind mitigation insurance credit. The existing door had single pane glass and no covering. We decided to go with a non-window hurricane rated door. Precision was included in some shopping recommendations from our inspector, and I was familiar with their ads on The JOYFM. As I shopped, their reputation, willingness to do a phone estimate (so I got a sense of potential expense), and responsiveness made the decison easy. The designer, Rebecca, was easy to work with. The tech was on time, polite, organized and did neat work. We received a call from Jacqueline that there was a billing error and we were credited our refund the same day the install had occurred! Ashley, who answered my call was very professional. She scheduled the service for the same day and when I said if there were emergency calls, mine could wait. Her reply was that Precision strives to deliver service the day the customer calls. Orion the technician arrived early, introduced himself, diagnosed the problem, reset the door springs, and performed preventative maintenance to ensure all other functions were as they should be.
