Very disappointed in cost to replace broken spring. No itemized list of repairs just wrote price on notepad.

Mr. Miller - I'm sorry your experience did not live up to our usual customer interaction. I know the technician did a full inspection of your door and the itemized estimate which he explained (and you were sent a copy of) showed that both springs were to be replaced, as well as change out a couple other parts that would have made your door run better. You were not even charged a service call for the visit- as the technician left a free estimate for work quoted. HE also explained when there are two connected springs we will not only change one, that both need to be changed. This is for the safety of our employees as much as the quality of the job being done. Adding a new spring to an older weak spring and then adding tension almost always results in the old spring popping and can be dangerous while the technician is up on the ladder. I hope if you still need service you consider us in the future as we provided you with a quality diagnosis and did not charge anything for the time our technician was at your property.

Tech arrived and after assessing broken spring problem offered options available. He completed work in a timely manner and went over parts and warranty information. Door is operating with no vibration and somewhat quieter.

original replacement of broken spring on 7/01/19 by Mark left a badly bent area of rail (about 8 inches down from top). Bret Owens came on 01/29/20 and although he did not have the proper size replacement rail, was able to straighten out the badly deformed area of rail. This eliminated the loud noise at opening and closing of door. We were not charged for his service. Gratefully, Fred

After reviewing your account we noticed that the technician that serviced your garage door did in fact notate the issue that was causing your door to "Stick". The Vinyl trim the surrounds the out side of your door was previously painted causing the trim to Stick to your door. Unfortunately there is not much that can be done to resolve this issue other that adding some lubrication to that vinyl door trim to help alleviate that sticking issue. The only other way to really solve this issue would be to remove the existing vinyl door trim and replace with new. We would be happy to quote this service for you if you are interested. We arranged a call at 8.0am and Mark B arrived about 10.15am, broken spring and end bearings that had made the opening noisey. we lifted the door to get the vehicle out and then Mark started to disassemble the mechanism. I was able to put the air con on in the garage so that made the temperature bearable. Replaced the rollers, new springs and then set up the PSI on the door then the mechanism was sprayed with lubricant along with the rollers and spring, all worked and job completed - I would recommend this company and Mark B to anyone who needs work doing on their doors.
